Pineapple Baked Beans

Serving Size: 6 servings

1 pound ground beef
28 ounces baked beans (Bush's Baked Beans work well)
8 ounces pineapple tidbits, drained (I often use a 15 ounce can)
1 large onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

In a skillet, brown beef; drain. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 4-8 hours or until bubbly. Serve in bowls. (We like to serve it over rice or with a fresh loaf of oatmeal bread from the breadmachine.)
